Change is the only constant. We change, we evolve.
In fact, we are evolving constantly. Earlier this week, I met a senior colleague who also blogs for fun. I told her that I also love blogging and would send the link to my blog when I got home from work.
However, just as I was about to email the link to her, I had a moment of self doubt. Was my blog really good enough to send? Would she enjoy reading a few frivolous bits of my shopping escapades?
Instinctively I went back page after page, post after post reading every single entry till I got to the very last one. Some I enjoyed, some I cringed at. I also realised that I am not the same writer anymore. I still want to write about my personal style, beauty and lifestyle but want to express it differently.
Off late, whenever, I have written a post, my perspective on it has been different. It has shifted from – I enjoy this piece of clothing to how could others who might have the same piece of clothing, benefit from my styling? What value can I add to their life when they spend time on my blog.
I have found myself writing more about things that inspire me and my reflections of life. I hope my readers can relate to this and it inspires them in their lives in some form or another.
Maybe because I turned 30 this year or because of the immense personal growth I’ve witnessed this past year, I’ve evolved and I want my blog to reflect that too.
