Style means different things to different people. To me, it is my signature way of expressing how I feel through fashion. My personal style has evolved over the years, but I think the one thing that has remained constant is that I always try to incorporate cool yet unique and good quality pieces in my wardrobe and my accessories collection. I had wanted a Tag Heuer watch for a while but I couldn’t afford one, so I looked at other options instead. The search began, I went from wanting a Raymond weil watch to wanting a second-hand Rolex to then discovering a new watch manufacturer…
When I discovered Jord Wood Watches, I instantly had to have one. They ticked all the boxes when it comes to my personal style. They very unique, well made and quite frankly, extremely cool!
Being the blush pink lover that I am, I got the Cora Zebrawood & Rosщ watch. I have never ordered a watch online in the past, mainly because of my apprehension regarding the fit of the watch. Given that I have tiny wrists, most watches and bracelets are too loose to fit. However, Jord makes it extremely easy, as one can measure their wrist and give in the measurements when placing the order, to be able to custom size the watch strap.
When my watch arrived in the mail, I was extremely impressed with the packaging. The wooden box with the watch was very well packaged inside a very sturdy cardboard box. Inside the wooden box(which has a magnetic closure by the way), the watch was housed very comfortably on a pillow.
I was also very impressed with the other accompaniments that were kept in the little hidden compartment of the box- a wood preserve cleaning oil to ensure that it looks shiny at all times, a soft cloth to clean the watch and a humidity pack to keep the wood moisture and humidity free.
The watch itself is also very well made. It is self-winding, which means it doesn’t require any battery and has sapphire glass on the face, which makes the watch extremely durable. Also, the hour markers have Swarovski crystals, making the watch even more luxurious! Also, it is very light and doesn’t feel heavy on the wrist, despite of being made from wood. I also have to say the wooden housing of the watch makes me feel like I could have had options for my face. I mean customizing the face of the watch, such as this article on designing a watch with a photo inside for a really sentimental time-piece!
I posted a picture of me wearing the watch on instagram last week, which was immensely popular. Also got a lot of questions about the watch from my friends and family. To all those who liked the watch and the idea of owning a wood watch, I have some great news. Jord has kindly offered to give my readers a $25 discount on their purchase and a chance to win a $100 voucher.
