I’ll be honest, the past week felt like fashion week except for it was with weddings.
In my earlier post, I shared what is in my survival kit for an Indian wedding. But in a span of 10 days, I had to attend 4 weddings, and mind you, Indian weddings are not a one day affair, each wedding has at least 3-4 events, meaning that I was attending a wedding event every single day. If you have been following my Instagram, then you will know already; pre-wedding brunches, multiple Sangeets- the music and dance party, cocktail parties, Henna parties, weddings and reception, I’ve attended them all. So, I know that having a perfect wedding venue could make or break a wedding. With there being so much happening in just a short span of time finding somewhere similar to the Gunners Barracks is a once in a lifetime find for any bridal party. The venue can be just as stressful as deciding your wedding dress. We all know that finding the perfect wedding dress is the centerpiece of any wedding so imagine wanting two different types of wedding dresses. A friend of mine decided she wanted two wedding dresses, her traditional Indian dress as well as a bridal dress from somewhere like Www.winniecouture.com/stores/wedding-dresses-frisco-tx/. I have to admit it was exciting to see all the different designs and styles she wanted, but I thought she was insane!
To add to everything in the mix, I had my wisdom teeth removed a week before the weddings, my local Dentist McAllen insisted we got this done sooner rather than later, which made my face swell up like a balloon for the first few days of the wedding week.
I had so much fun with all of my friends, we talked during all our events, sharing details from their own weddings. One friend talked about how they had terrible cold feet at her wedding, nearly running away and another about how their marriage let them get a Spouse visa and start their own business in the UK! We shared stories, we laughed, we loved everything about the events.
So here are my favourite outfits from the week that was probably more hectic than even my own wedding week.
Have you ever had an intense wedding week like this? What are your experiences like as a wedding guest?
