Another day, another neutral eyeshadow palette. After getting the Chanel Candeur et Experience eyeshadow quad from the Rouge Collection N°1, I had put myself on a neutral eye shadow palette ban. However, when I saw the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario, I couldn’t resist and decided to get it.
This is the first product that I have ever tried from Anastasia Beverly Hills and I must say, I am really impressed with the quality. The palette is a collaboration with Mario Dedivanovic, who has been a celebrity makeup artist for the likes of Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Priyanka Chopra and Eva Longoria to name a few. He is also the makeup artist who first started the contouring trend by doing Kim Kardashian’s, which then led to the creation of several hundreds of contour palettes from various beauty brands.
Colour range and Formulation: The Master Palette by Mario is part of the Anastasia’s holiday collection. The palette has 12 shades and most colours in this palette are warm neutrals, perfect for autumn. The shade names are based on places and celebrities Mario has worked with. The pigmentation and colours payoff of this palette are great. On watching with my finger, the colours looked really vibrant and intense. The shadows are really creamy and I found no colour fall out on application. I was also glad the see that all the colours are equally pigmented.
Pricing: In terms of pricing, the palette is priced at AED 248 in the UAE, which is roughly the same as $67.51. Beauty products in the Middle East are always more expensive then anywhere else in the world (except China), so I have accepted that if I want to try new products, then I have to pay the additional price. The price of the palette in the US is $45.00 making it a lot cheaper than in Dubai.
Packaging: The palette is made of cardboard and plastic making it easy to travel with. However, it is also worth mentioning that the palette feels quite sturdy despite of being made partially of cardboard. In addition, it also has a mirror on the lid, which makes it a great palette to travel with. The palette also comes with a double ended brush. The brush has natural fibres and picks up the pigment of the eyeshadows very well.
I created the above look using the palette and was really pleased with the outcome. I will also list all the other products used below. Have you tried this palette yet? If not, I highly recommend it. This is a limited edition palette and I would recommend getting it sooner rather than later, as it will be sold out.
