On our first day in Santorini, while the others were still sleeping, I decided to go on a 6 a.m. trek by myself. It was one of the calmest and most beautiful treks I have ever been on.
We are staying in Imerovigli, which is the highest village on the Santorini Caldera. It is about 2km away from Fira and is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever been to. The view of the volcano from Imerovigli, is stunning.
I love taking photographs and hence waking up early to get these images was totally worth it. Santorini being such a tourist friendly place, it is hard to find a nice spot without people getting in the way of your picture. If you like photography and want a nice shot without a crowd of people in it, I would definitely recommend waking up early and exploring touristy places.
I am hoping to explore a lot more of the Santorini in the upcoming days. Until then, as the Greek say, Ta Leme!
