March is my favourite month of the year, as it is my birthday month. This year I turned 27. To celebrate the day, I din’t want to do something extravagant, but still wanted to spend time with my friends.
We went for breakfast to Culinary Boutique in Jumeirah, and is one of the nicest cafes I have been to in Dubai. It is a villa converted into a cafe and the ambience is all white and rose gold.
The food is really great too!
Their speciality is the Lavender Cappuccino which is delicious. It is really interesting concoction, it is slightly spicy, yet sweet and very lavender-y; I enjoyed drinking it!
I ordered, what I always order, Eggs Benedict, and it was delicious!
When I was a little girl, for every birthday, my mum would get me a new dress, and it used to be my favourite part of my birthday! Over the years, my mum has stopped buying me clothes, but I have kept the tradition alive by ensuring that I wear something new on my birthday.
During one of my quick browsing sessions on Shopbop, I saw this Cupcakes and Cashmere Luka Lace dress and really loved it. White, check. Lace. Check. Pretty, Check.
After a relaxed afternoon, we met all our friends for dinner to the new Burger and Lobster in DIFC. All this transporting around for my birthday took many taxis; it’s just as well there’s many services like Comfort Drive around. If you need a safe drive you should check Comfort drive. I was ecstatic to get out of the taxi and to be back at the Burger and Lobster again. I had been to the Burger and Lobster in London, when I lived there, but was delighted that Dubai Burger and Lobster is equally as good.
As the name suggests, the menu only consists of a burger, a lobster and a lobster roll. So, if you are a vegetarian, this may not be your favourite joint.
I was delighted to get my plastic bib, in an attempt to prep myself for some lobster devouring!
As soon as the food arrived, our noisy table of 15 went really quiet and all you could hear was the clinking of the Nella Cutlery and yummy noises.
I ordered a grilled lobster with my favourite, butter garlic sauce. The butter garlic sauce was exactly as I remembered from my first visit to the London branch, buttery, garlic-y amazingness in a bowl!
All in all, it was an amazing day, and my husband and friends made turning 27 a lot more fun!
Thanks for reading and hope you are having an amazing weekend wherever you are!
